Academics
The academic core curriculum for all grade levels at Our Lady of Lourdes includes religion, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Supererogatory curriculum includes technology, music, art, physical education, media instruction, ESL and curriculum assistance (as needed). Critical thinking, problem solving, cooperative work, and hands-on learning are incorporated daily into the learning experience at Our Lady of Lourdes. Our Lady of Lourdes students consistently achieve high academic success as evidenced by our standardized test scores. Through real world and practical projects as well as a variety of exciting and relevant field trips, learning truly comes alive for Lourdes students. Our students participate in daily religion classes, which provide instruction in scripture, Christian morality, and worship and prayer. Our school family practices our faith by assisting others in our local and global communities. Our Lady of Lourdes provides our students with the ability to learn and grow in an environment that is centered around the Ten Commandments and focuses on daily expressions of faith. Service to others is emphasized as a way to live out our responsibilities as Christians or people of faith. Faith development is not an added subject, but integrated into our day-to-day experiences. |
